Today the investment contracts with two business angels were signed. With the help of a 20% governmental funding venture capital investors moved into TeraCortex. "This is a major step for us. The database takes replication flexibility to the next level. DVTDS now supports the special mechanisms required for mobile edge computing. DVTDS goes hybrid

Since a couple of years DVTDS offers in memory plus on disk storage. Now we improved the architecture to make this tunable on a a fine grain resolution. "This new feature strengthens our position in markets where combinations of slow mass storage and and fast real time access are required. For instance in Telco and Social Media environments." CEO Hartmut Woltmann said in a press statement.

TeraCortex to drop support for HP-UX, Solaris and AIX
20.09.2014:
TeraCortex will focus it's business to Linux / x86 based solutions. Further there will be a concentration to 64 Bit systems. Support for Sparc, HP-UX and AIX based systems is discontinued. Christian Hollstein, chief architect was sorry: "Somehow a pitty. We grew up with these Unixes back from the early nineties, when a six way Unix machine was a 150 kilo thing with gold plated head pipes. I loved them. Besides running a database they contributed to heating. At least in winter. Hartmut Woltmann, CEO took the business decision: "From customers we see ever decreasing demand for these architectures. It makes no sense anymore to put development effort into them."

New DVTDS Object Loader / Data Analytics Interface

The new object loader is designed for extreme throughput. With its streamlined multi threaded design it is able to import more than 500 million objects in less than two hours while performing indexing on - the - fly. It reads LDAP / BER encoded streams from a set of files or FIFO devices and converts the data into the DVTDS internal object format. On the way out the queuse are even faster. They are the high speed interface for real time data analytics.
Hard Disk Back End Ready
13.09.2013:
The hard disk management subsystem passed functional and performance testing. It features multi - parallel access to a set of logical volumes. Volumes can be cooked file space or raw devices. Data is dynamically paged into the cache as needed by client sessions. In the lab the sub system showed excellent performance just 25% lower as compared to in - memory operation.
